Fastest way: in the app
Open KoraUp → More tab → Delete my account & data → confirm. It is immediate, needs no email and no waiting, and cannot be undone.
What gets deleted
From our server: the anonymous account (id, hashed access token, random display name and avatar), the device push token, favorite teams and leagues, followed matches, notification and language preferences, every notification stored in the notification center, and the log of notifications sent to your device. From your device: locally stored app data such as favorites, theme and time zone.
What is not deleted and why
Match, league and news data is not your personal data and stays available to everyone. Technical server logs (IP address and request time) are not linked to your account and cannot be reached from it; they are deleted automatically after a short period by our hosting and security providers.
If you uninstalled the app without deleting the account
Notifications stop because your device token becomes invalid. The account and everything attached to it are deleted automatically after 12 months of inactivity, with nothing to do on your side.
Requesting deletion by email
If you cannot use the in-app button, email contact@kora-up.com with "Delete my account" as the subject. Please note: the account is fully anonymous and tied to no email, name or phone number, so we cannot identify it from an email address alone. If the app is still installed, the in-app button is the guaranteed and immediate route. We reply within 7 days at the latest.
Turning notifications off without deleting the account
If you only want to stop notifications: More → Notifications in the app, or your device system settings. You can also clear the notification center alone and keep your account and favorites.
